Gus is a four year-old Schipperke that came to Jim and Debby by happenstance about a year and a half ago. A friend of Jim's knew he already owned one schipperke. She phoned one day to say that her brother had a schipperke he wanted to give away and did Jim want the dog. Of course, Jim said "Yes!". Gus has been a real buddy to Jim and Debby's other schipperke, Skipper.
